Its illuminations are attributed to the Master of the Dresden Hours and the Master of James IV of Scotland, among others. a"The content of the Fitzwilliam Hours is characteristic of late medieval Books of Hours. It includes the core texts , mostly derived from the Breviary: a Calendar, the Little Office of the Virgin, the Penitential Pslams and Litany, the Office of the Dead and the suffrages of Saints. The book also contains various less canonical, but equally common elements: the Short Hours of the Cross and of the Holy Spirit, the Gospel Sequences and two of the most popular Marian prayers, known as Obsecro te and O intemerata from their opening words. In addition, the Fitzwilliam Hours accommodates a number of optional texts: the Passion according to St. John, additional Masses and devotions to the Virgin, the Prayers of St. Gregory and the Seven verses of St. Bernard." -- Commentary [p. 33]20aFitzwilliam Museum.kManuscript.n1058-1975.20aCatholic ChurchvPrayers and devotions. 0aBooks of hourszBelgiumzBrugesvIllustrations. 0aIllumination of books and manuscripts, FlemishzBelgiumzBrugesy16th centuryvFacsimiles. 0aManuscripts, Latin (Medieval and modern)zEnglandzCambridgevFacsimiles.0 aMaster of the Dresden Hours, dfl. 1470-1500.1 aMaster of James IV of Scotland, dfl. 1488-1530.1 aPanayotova, Stella.tFitzwilliam Book of Hours : commentary2 aFolio Society (London, England)2 aFitzwilliam Museum aLibrary copy no. 609 .00967nam a2200241 a 45000010008000000080041000080190012000490350016000610350011000770400017000880410011001051000018001162400024001342450161001582600055003193000028003745000021004025000167004237000036005907000030006269000039006569840030006951486363810320s1958 enka 00010 eng d1 a1873775 9abn81007290 9418223 aANLcANLdVU1 aengper0 aOmar Khayyam.10aRuba`iyat.lEnglish14aThe Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam :bEdward Fitzgerald's translation reprinted from the first edition with his preface and notes /cdrawings by J.
