Doug speaks about joining the Christian Brethren Assembly and going to Doomadgee Mission, Qld. in 1945. He and Joan married in 1947 and remained at Doomadgee until the birth of their third child. They describe living conditions at the Mission, its aims, the staff, and the schooling supplied. Doug and Joan also talk about their visit to Doomadgee in the 1980s.
