Percy Wellesley "Bob" Chapman fought in the 55th Battalion Australian Imperial Forces. He was killed in action in France on the Somme battlefield near Beaulencourt on 12 Mar. 1917. He was buried at Bernafay wood in the 15th Field Artillery War Cemetery.
