Robyn Williams, science communicator, producer and presenter of The Science Show for ABC Radio reflects on his career and achievements in science broadcasting. He describes his family background; recollections as an English schoolboy in Vienna following WWII; impressions on meeting Australians as a London teenager and subsequent move to Australia in 1964; return to London University to study science; joining the ABC Science Unit in 1972; its founding director Peter Pockley; developing new science broadcasting programs; the image of the scientist; the Commission for the Future; communication in science.
