AUSTLIT-ATSIS is a subset of the AUSTLIT database that lists creative and critical writing by or about Australian creative authors. Children's literature is not indexed. AUSTLIT covers: creative literature, criticism, reviews, awards, publishing and creative literature translated by Australians. The AUSTLIT-ATSIS subset includes all AUSTLIT records which contain the words Aborigine/Aborigines, Aboriginal/ Aboriginals, Koori/Kooris, Koorie/Koories or Murri/Murris in any fields. The subset therefore includes all authors that AUSTLIT has been able to verify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person, with tribal affiliations included where these are known. It currently contains over 6,300 records.
