Notes, calculations, ship dimensions and letters. Many of the notes are signed James Dennett, Newport. Titles for some of the notes include "Dimensions of a 36 gun ship's span", "Wellesley 74 gun", "Rigging for the Troubadour", Oct. 1833, "Brigs spand for New Arrow..." 1814 and "Return of the people in the employ of J. Dennett for the month of November 1810". Also includes a letter, 13 Aug. 1825 from James Dennett to his son, and a letter, 12 Nov. 1823 to John Dennett.
