| Biography/History |
Sir Kenneth Bailey served in the A.I.F. in France in 1918. On his return to Australia and completion of his studies he was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship and studied at Oxford University. He was part of the Australian delegation to the U.N. in 1945 and prepared the final draft of the Charter of the United Nations. In 1946 Sir Kenneth was appointed secretary to the Attorney-General's Department and solicitor general of the Commonwealth. He was made the first Commonwealth Q.C. From 1964-69 he was High Commissioner to Canada.
