Summary

Speeches made by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. John Gorton, M.P., Sir Alister McMullin, Sir A. Grenfell Price, and Harold Leslie White at the opening of the National Library of Australia building on 15 August, 1968. In addition, seven boxes of files relating to the National Library of Australia, Australian Humanities Research Council, Scientific and Technological Information Services Enquiry Committee, Commonwealth Literary Fund and other matters.

The Acc08/79 instalment comprises pamphlets containing essays, articles and lectures given by Archibald Grenfell Price.

Biography/History Geographer, historian and educationist. Archibald Grenfell Price was Chairman of the Council of the National Library of Australia 1960-1971.
