Armitage, bullock driver and folk performer, discusses his profession, gives an unidentified recitation on the life of a bullock teamster written by Stimson, recalls the Stimson family. Includes a dubbing of an ABC radio documentary made in Dec. 1943 and called the Wauchope Symphony presented by Frederick Simpson which includes an interview with Armitage on his work as a bullock driver and his preference for Devon bulls (ca. 14 min. into the recording), how he discussed with these interviewers how to break in a bullock and his ignorance of the term "neutered" instead of "castrated"; discusses his nephew Jim who always loved to shoot and his eagerness to join the army in WWII; presents a dubbing of Armitage performing the original recitation by Stimson.
