Canberra ; looking north from site of existing Western Block, in the foreground track now Commonwealth Avenue; where cattle crossing Hotel Canberra is now located; beyond is Klensendorlffe (Mowle's) 2 storied house with C. Kaye's small cottage adjoining; beyond, River Molonglo and original Administrative Offices, Bank and Post Office with Acton House to the right; beyond again, Department of Works Store-yard and Residency, Departmental cottages and Black Mountain in the distance, 1913.
