Senator Chipp commented on a recent newspaper article regarding Parliament and the Cabinet; spoke of his Party's opposition to uranium mining and conscription; Australia's involvement in overseas war; reforms that his Party is trying to introduce; their economic strategy and the government's need to plan ahead for technology; the best use of energy resources; replies to questions from the Press Gallery include what consequences to Democrat policies following Labor's policy on uranium mining; his position on human rights and freedom of information; his Party's view to the use of blocking the Supply Bill to undermine an elected government; the superphosphate bounty; the likelihood of Prime Minister Fraser calling an early election and how the Democrats would implement a capital gains tax.
