Summary

Biography/History

In 1902, 1904 and 1907 Anstey represented the Victorian Legislative Assembly seat of East Bourke for the Labor Party. Subsequently he held the federal seat of Bourke from 1910-1934. He held the positions of Deputy Leader of the Australian Labor Party, 1922 and Minister of Health and Repatriation in the Scullin governnemt, 1929-1931.
