Vellum notebook containing 62 pages of manuscript poems which were written in letters to Fairfax's friend and mentor, Eva Fowler. Her literary salon at Oxford was a famous gathering place for young literary stars, including Yeats and Pound. Fowler clipped the poems from Fairfax's letters and pasted them into this notebook.

Poet. Born Sydney, 15 July 1886 into the 'Sydney Morning Herald' Fairfax family. Raised in England, visiting Australia only for brief periods. Published numerous volumes of verse.
