Five diaries that record the travels and experiences of Jane Churchill in 1924, 1928, 1929, 1931 and 1932. The first diary records her travels with her father in Australia, their work, lifestyle and experiences. The accounts are continued as Jane, sometimes accompanied by her father, travelled and lived in Britain and France.
- Biography/History:

Jane Churchill was a variety artist who performed in music halls in Geelong and other places in Australia before sailing for England with her father on board the ship 'Esperance Bay' in 1928. She performed during the voyage between Perth and England. She and her father lived in Britain and France, renting rooms, sometimes selling their possessions to cover expenses. Her father assisted with theatre sets, sewed, produced posters, painted in oils, and sketched.
