Summary

1. Bester speaks of the Greek musical instruments he plays including the tulum, the agion and the davul, why and when he started playing the tulum, his observations of village culture, the cultural elements in each song or tune, his view of the future of traditional music, how he the tulum in Turkey, how he learnt the davul and the physical movements he makes as he plays, the importance of rhythm, his recordings of music from different localities, improvisation, his definition of Rebetika, his repertoire consists of tunes from all over Asia and Europe, discusses his band "Xenos" and their performances, how the band was named and the other musicians in the band, the place where they have played for European refugees, how a musician feels when he sees pople crying while they are dancing, how he prepares for a Greek concert, his view of the profession of a musician & the musician's role in a multicultural society, discusses the leader of the dance and the leader of the music, his repertoire consists of folksongs of many countries.

Bester discusses his view of Australian folksongs, how rhythm differs from country to country, how Greek culture has enriched his repertoire, how he learns Greek music, his recording experience, recalls his early life in Tasmania and his schooling, his life in Tasmania and Victoria, how he met Stephanos Antoniou, his plans for the future. 2.
