Allan Stewart (a.k.a, Alexander Allan-Stewart) a Northern Territory safari operator, gives a brief outline of his career; talks about history of family in Scotland, father's career in Blackwatch Regiment; migration to Australia in 1922; Depression; soldiering prior to WWII; working in 1933 in Sydney with Catts Patterson Advertising and W.C. Penfolds; Duntroon Military College; Regimental Sergeant Major at Victoria Barracks, Sydney. He then talks about joining the 6th Division and being shipped to the Middle East; gives personal details of the Battle of Badia; capture of 800 Italians; Tobruk, Cairo; reform in Palestine; co-commandant with Basil Catterns; back to Ceylon; returned to Sydney; then sent to New Guinea with the Melitia Battalions; returned to Australia; leg broken in Cowra, N.S.W. discharged and into Public Relations.
Stewart then talks about flying in the Northern Territory and setting up a Safari Camp in the Northern Territory; film "East of the Alligator"; Arnhem Land and East Alligator River; wild life in the Northern Territory; Kakadu National Park and the running of the Safari Camp. He then talks about Prof. Harry Messel; Rupert Murdoch; Cyclone Tracy and his philosophy on life.
