Summary

Highlights from "Tracks to Federation", the East West Rail Commemoration railway journey, held from October 22nd-25th 2001, re-enacting the first train journey across the Nullarbor in 1917, when the final rail link, between Port Augusta in South Australia and Kalgoorlie in Western Australia, was completed. The video features some footage of the actual construction of the line, shows the various ceremonies, sights seen, including other historic trains, and other entertainment enjoyed by the passengers during this historic re-enactment.
