Deirdre Kidd speaks about life as a dancer with the Margaret Barr Dance-Drama Group, founded in Sydney in 1952. Margaret Barr also held the position of inaugural movement tutor at the National Institute of Dramatic Art. Kidd also speaks about her early history of dance in Sydney and London.
Louise Walker talks about being a student of Margaret Barr and later becoming a teacher herself using Barr's technique. She discusses classes at Glebe Studio, the Conservatorium and students from NIDA. She speaks about work with New Theatre and NSW Science Block Theatre with reference to the works 'Strange Children', 'Mexico' and 'Rites of Spring' and individuals such as Coralie Hinkley, Robert Allnutt and Silver Harris. She then reflects on the teaching style and personality of Margaret Barr.
