Harvey speaks about how her father instructed the dances; her father being a strict MC of local dances; how they would clap to stop the music at the end of the set; the type of dances done eg. round Hop Polka; the dances held at Argalong in houses and at the school; musicians at dances; tin kettling; how long her father had been playing and how he learnt from his uncle while his wife would hum tunes to prompt his uncle, feet keeping time; Matty's brother's poem about a mammoth woolshed; a game from her childhood based on Billy Johnson's black pig, getting them into strife at school; types of games played at school; bagging chimney as a prelude to tin kettling; Paddy Glynn's father, spruiking; more stories of Paddy's father.
