Ethel Robertson, born 1947, Palm Island. Robertson speaks about her childhood on Palm Island, Qld. with her parents until the age of 13 when she was removed to the dormitories. She describes the living conditions in the dormitories. At the age of 15, she was sent out to work, alternating between jobs on the mainland and on Palm Island. Robertson compares life on Palm Island during her childhood with contemporary life on the Island.
