William John (Jock) Weeden, educator and public administrator talks about his early education at Tumut; Fort Street Boys' High School; arts at Sydney University and Diploma of Education in 1928 and his teaching experiences. He then shares his memories of Dr Wyndham and the Wyndham Scheme; Universities Commission; establishment of Commonwealth Office of Education and his work as Director of Commonwealth Office of Education and his involvement with UNESCO and the Colombo Plan. Weeden then talks about the amalgamation of ANU and Canberra University College; report on educational television; work in chairing a committee which looked at the organisation of the training of naval officers; formation of Colleges of Advanced Education (CAE) and the Martin Report. He then talks about the New Guinea Educational Inquiry; retirement in 1970 and his report on libraries in N.S.W.; memories of Dr. Sam Richardson; views on CAEs and career highlights.
