Folkloric recording. Trevor Day, born at Lorne, N.S.W., a musician, recalls his family's musical background; his grandmother's songs being recorded; country singer Tex Morton's influence on his musical career; buying his first guitar; local country music shows; touring with Chad Morgan (country singer); touring with Rick and Thel Carey (country singers); travelling to Western Australia, New Zealand and USA; recording with Hadley records; the stagecraft of performers; pre TV era and the influx of entertainment lead to a change in direction of performing shows. He talks about songwriting and the uniqueness of Australian country and western music; American and Australian music; how his feelings are reflected in his songs; Tex Morton project, an information display to share memories of Tex with the wider community.
