Watson speaks of her AIDS education work with intravenous drug users in the ACT, association with the Drug Referral & Information Centre, Assisting Drug Dependents Inc., AIDS Action Council, AFAO and Australian IV League, and comments on: her first awareness of AIDS as a disease; needle exchange program; pharmacist & community attitudes to drug users; government liaison; legalisation of illicit drugs; hospital management of drug users; experts & bureaucratisation of AIDS; gays and the AIDS debate; AIDS education & street prostitution, transvestites; Australian and international response to AIDS; and speaks frankly on personal aspects of her life.

Part of a project undertaken jointly by the Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations and the National Library of Australia focussing on the social and political response in Australia to AIDS.
