George Davis speaks about his family background; childhood and schooling in Tasmania; being moved to the country during World War II; art school; his travelling scholarship in 1951; time spent at the Royal Academy of Art in Britain; teaching art; things he tries to convey in his paintings; the mural he designed for the ABC building in Hobart; exhibitions of his work; and his commission painting on some of Tasmania's islands.
