He speaks about early influences of his father's entrepreneurial activities; early theatre-going experiences; undertaking a drama course run by Doris Fitton at the Independent Theatre; further studies at Oxford in English and Arts; performing in repertory theatre companies in England; studying accountancy; working in New Guinea; the Goroka Players; working with Coopers and Lybrand; thoughts on Doris Fitton; application process of becoming general manager of the AETT; AETT board; role as general manager of AETT; formation of the AETT; releasing the Australian Opera and Australian Ballet from the auspices of the AETT; various theatrical productions produced by the AETT including Pyjama Tops and Fedeau; financial issues associated with touring shows.
