Summary

Material relating to the Queensland Greens campaign to have a candidate elected as a delegate to the 1998 Constitutional Convention. They campaigned under the name Australian Greens for a Just Republic. Includes campaign material, press cuttings, media releases, letters to the editor, letters from the public and the Greens' Constitutional Convention information kit and discussion papers.

Biography/History

Political campaigner and university lecturer. Connors first started campaigning in high school, she has supported issues from land rights to international human rights; she was also founding member of the Australian Greens and the Queensland Greens. In 1997 she stood as a Constitutional Convention candidate for the Australian Greens for a Just Republic.
