Biography/History Sir John McCauley served in the RAAF in Malaya from 1941-42, as Chief of Air Staff from 1942-44, in the 2nd Tactical Air Force European Theatre 1944-1945 and in the British Commonwealth Occupation Force, Japan, from 1947-1949. He was also Federal President of the Air Force Association.
