| Summary |
The MS 3159 records comprise reports, correspondence, minutes of meetings of the Canberra, South Canberra, Goulburn, Cooma clubs; papers relating to the formation of each of the clubs; the proceedings of the Annual Conferences organized by the A.C.T. and Southern Highlands Divisional Union; papers on Soroptimism; circulars and correspondence relating to the co-ordinating Committee of Soroptimist Clubs of Australia and New Zealand; and a card file of people considered for membership, letters to those invited to join, and their replies.

| Biography/History |
In June 1956 an A.C.T. Divisional Union of the Soroptimist Clubs was formed with one club in Canberra. In 1958 the Goulburn Club became affiliated with the Canberra Club and the new body was known as the Divisional Union of Soroptimist Clubs of the A.C.T. and the Southern Highlands. A third club was charted at Cooma in 1959 and joined with the other two. The organization became known as Soroptimist International of the Monaro. |
