MS 3665 comprises a miscellaneous assortment of printed items, including invitation and name cards; roneoed and manuscript notes, travel brochures from Harold White's trips to Japan and the United States; and, roneoed and printed material on libraries and related subjects. There are typed drafts of papers and notes relating to the National Library and Parliamentary Library; news clippings and notes of miscellaneous nature; photocopies of typed notes on the National Library and the law collection; article titled "Canberra"; and, notes for Bathurst visit. Also included are journal articles, "The support given to scholarship by Australian publishing houses" by J.A. Ferguson, and "The future of the archival profession" by T.R. Schellenberg.
The collection also includes lists of names, and biographical notes on J.A. Ferguson and Prem Purachatra; correspondence relating to copyright law, audio archives and Vera Sauran; photograph of all National Library of Australia staff on the Library front steps at White's farewell, 1970; two reels of 16 mm. film that include footage of the National Library of Australia opening ceremony, an interview with National Librarian, Harold White, and the National Library building under construction; and, material relating to White's 85th birthday lunch (7 boxes, 1 fol. package, 1 elephant folio).
