Summary

Stephen Page, dancer, choreographer and Artistic Director of Bangarra Dance Theatre, discusses his family background and his dance training and work at National Aboriginal and Islander Skills Development Association (NAISDA). He continues with an account of his time time working with Sydney Dance Company including working with Graeme Murphy and Garth Welch on Murphy's Late Afternoon of a Faun. He speaks about being asked to take on directorship of Bangarra Dance Theatre and about his early experiences directing the company. Page also talks about Aboriginality and discusses his approach to the choreographic process.
