Sue Healey speaks of her interest in the use of film as a component in her choreography. She recalls the beginnings of this interest, in particular in relation to her work Knee Deep in Thin Air and Fugue - in pursuit of Flight; the influence of film maker Louise Curham. She talks about her Masters thesis submitted to the Victorian College of the Arts and the pieces made during her period of study; working with dancer Shona Erskine on the series of works she made under the title Niche; working in Japan and the development of her piece Fine Line Terrain; her thoughts on the evolution of her thinking about the links between film and choreography.
