Comer speaks about her and her husband's decision in 1964 to adopt a 6-week-old Aboriginal boy through a Methodist adoption agency. Their adopted son was from a large family in Alice Springs and his surviving siblings were all adopted or fostered. She describes the adoption process, her adopted son's childhood in Frankston, Vic., and his reunion with members of his birth family. Her adopted son returned to the Northern Territory as an adult, where he is exploring his Aboriginal identity through art.
