Karin recalls her early years in Melbourne as a dance student of Laurel Martyn and rehearsing for the Victorian Ballet Guild at the age of 16 years; her work with the Borovansky Ballet; her eventual transition to the Australian Ballet; her early experiences in the Australian Ballet and of coping with new roles; the ballet company's role and purpose; her retirement from the the Australian Ballet and from dancing; the reasons for selecting Canberra to set up a dance studio; well known dancers, teachers and choreographers with whom she had trained and worked; her techniques in training dancers and the productions undertaken by the National Capital Dancers.
