Summary

Various manuscript drafts of vols. 1 and 2 of Fitzhardinge's biography of Billy Hughes, including the complete and final draft of vol. 2. Extensive notes, newscuttings and photocopies drawn from major manuscript collections, the Public Record Office (U.K.) and published matter, relating to Hughes, his career, and political conditions of his time. Biography/History

L.F. Fitzhardinge, formerly of the Institute of Advanced Studies, Australian National University, and one-time staff member of the National Library, was chosen by William Morris Hughes as his biographer.
