Biography/History Garnet Hannell Carroll, entrepreneur, was born in 1902, Singleton, N.S.W. He began performing in the chorus and became Benjamin Fuller's protege. He formed Gaiety Theatres Ltd with Fuller in 1941 and the Carroll-Fuller Theatres Pty Ltd in 1946. He managed the Princess Theatre, Melbourne and the Capitol Theatre, Perth. Presented plays and musicals to as wide an audience as possible. Died in Melbourne in 1964.
