Summary

Typescript copy of a diary written during Captain Jessup's 3 1/2 years imprisonment in a P.O.W. camp. Diary includes description of H. Jessup's experiences on the Burma Railway and as a Japanese prisoner of war in Changi. Describes living conditions e.g. food, sickness, death, pastimes in the camp.

Biography/History

Captain H.E. Jessup, a Staff Officer of 8 Division Headquarters, A.I.F. during World War II, was a Japanese prisoner for 3 1/2 years, between1942-1945.
