Narrative entitled: "Goulburn writers and literature", about local literary identities in the Goulburn district: John Bett, grandson of Samuel Marsden who wrote select sermons in 1859; W. R. Riley and J. W. Chisholm who bought the "Goulburn Herald" in 1858 (Riley was editor of the newspaper); Bertha Boyd of Currawong who was a local poet; Daniel Henry Deniehy (1828-1865) an attorney who edited the "Southern Cross" in 1859; James Chisholm who published "Speeches and reminiscences" in 1907 (Chisholm was the son of James Chisholm senior who took up "Kippilaw" in 1826); John Farrell, a local poet.
