Beatrice Blackwood (1889-1975) was an internationally distinguished anthropologist and ethnologist who worked in America, Melanesia and New Guinea. She worked for over thirty years at the Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford, and undertook field work in the North Solomons, New Guinea and New Britain.
