Power speaks about his birth parents and about his separation from his mother at about 2 months old. He was placed in the care of a local couple and they formally adopted him at the age of 3. He outlines the background of his adoptive parents, and describes the contact he had with his natural mother before her death when he was 8 years old. In 1972, his adoptive mother returned to Germany and he remained with his adoptive father. He and his adoptive father moved to Dorrigo, N.S.W. where he completed his schooling before he went to Sydney to study and work. Power later moved back to Victoria. He speaks about his reunion with his sisters and his birth father. He is currently living in Melbourne, where he works as a supervisor with a cleaning company.
