Penfold, dated 18 February 1970, addressed to National Library of Australia staff referring to the retirement of National Librarian, Sir Harold White; material relating to a dinner in White's honour, 18 June 1970, held by the Library Association of Australia, A.C.T. Branch; and, a letter from the Schlesinger Library to Mrs H.L. White, December 11, 1967 (1 folder).

Librarian. Harold Leslie White was joint Commonwealth National Librarian and Commonwealth Parliamentary Librarian, 1947-1960, and the National Library of Australia's Director-General from 1960 until 1970.
