Stan Boyd recites poetry, sings folk songs and recalls his days as a drover and stockman SIDE 1: Stan Boyd recalls stories about his time as a drover and stockman; the barmaid who fiddled the till, Flossie Few Clothes; Paddy Fox; Jardine's cattle; damper and beef diet; bangtailing; packhorses to Coen; the story about the Chinamen playing the pennies; no Chinese stockmen, cooks, etc., wages; Coen races, step dancer; Coen identities; Louisa Boyd, first woman to ride overland to Cape Yorke. SIDE 2: Mickeys; throwing and marking cattle and horses; prices; brewery; popular tobacco brands, prices, papers, Chinaman's cigarettes; Aborigines admired, fish lore, colonial ovens; pearling; Aboriginal food, etc.; musical instruments; Chinese funerals, etc.; Sunday visiting at hospital; horse bells, etc.; melon hole and funnel ant country; Aldine Reciter; Lone Hand and Bully; the "good old days"; bullock and horse bells named, theft of bells.
