Notes

Part of collection: Photographs of 'the Block' in Redfern, 2004.

Title devised by cataloguer based on information from acquisition documentation, see file NLA03/1347.

"Ningenah is a colourful character, very extrovert. I have seen him dance for an overseas TV crew, and he danced for my camera, .... I went back to get his signature on a model release, .... when I did find him to sign, he was unsure how to spell Ningenah (as I am). I understand that the word means "hush, quiet or shut up" -- note from the photographer.

Acquired in digital format; access copies available online.
