Summary

Atkins, an Indigenous separated child and case worker for Link-Up Qld, was removed from her family and sent to Palm Island, Qld. at the age of 13. She describes the living conditions on Palm Island. After 12 months, she was sent to St Gabriel's Anglican School, Charters Tower. Atkins speaks about her four years at boarding school and her early working life. She also talks about her husband and children and about the lives of her siblings.
