Max Lambert studied at the Conservatorium of Music in Sydney. He is a well-known composer and musical director. He was the Musical Director for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the XVII Olympiad in Sydney, the Commonwealth Games and the Sydney Gay Games. Lambert was awarded a Helpmann Award for his musical direction of 'The boy from Oz'.
