- Biography/History:

Composer. John Carmichael was born in Melbourne in 1930. He studied piano with performers Margaret Scholfield and Raymond Lambert at the Melbourne Conservatorium in 1947. Since that time he has established himself as an orchestral composer focussing on instruments such as piano, clarinet, saxophone, flute and trumpet.
