Ted Fogarty talks about his parents move from Queensland to Northern Territory; his father's work as head stockman on Wave Hill, then Manager of Delamere; his father's station work, contract mustering; his schooling; working on a station in East Kimberleys, aged 13, his mistreatment; droving with his uncle, working on stations, underage wages; WWII; wild cattle on Hodgson River Station; Indigenous stockmen; his partnership with brother in Bradshaw Station, expanding to Mulga Park, installing bores, bringing cattle from Bradshaw; expanding property interests, surviving drought; owning Lucy Creek; working with Boring Plant, Southern Cross No. 2, bore drill maintenance; notable horsemen; the modern cattle industry, rise in costs, station real estate values; Fogarty's property purchases; droving hardships, rushing cattle, injuries; property shares; droving horses, driving 600 horses through the Marranji; droving contracts; droving practices; stock characteristics; work on the station, use of trap yards when mustering.
