John Donald Mackenzie Brownlee (7 January 1900 - 10 January 1969) was an Australian operatic baritone who was born in Geelong. Victoria. For most of his professional career he was based in Europe and then United States. An Australian scholarship in his name was first awarded after his death in 1969. Further material is located within separate files in the PROMPT collection under the names of the companies Brownlee appeared with, such as the Royal Opera, Metropolitan Opera (New York) etc.
