- Map of the volcanic Sulphur Island [i.e. Iwo Jima] with the sea track of James Cook's ships dated Nov. 15, 1779. On November 14, 1779, the Discovery and the Resolution, now under the comand of Gore and King, were sailing from Japan to the Bashee Islands when they sited an active, steaming volcanic island which Gore named Sulphur Island [i.e. Iwo Jima] situated between North Island [i.e. Kita Iwo Jima] and South Island [i.e. Minami Iwo Jima]. Decorative features includes at the top of the sheet a collage of nautical items arranged symmetrically behind a large shell resembling a shield surmounted with a crown like device while at the bottom of the sheet another illustration of the head of an old, bearded man wearing a crown and draped in seaweed. Relief shown by hachures.
- This reproduction is attributed to W. Grainger due to the style of illustrations above and below the map, resembling those of the map entitled Sketch of Typa and Macao, where he is clearly identified as the engraver.
