| Biography/History |
Julia Edwards born 1940 in Sydney, N.S.W. She became interested in theatre and joined the Ensemble Theatre to study under Hayes Gordon. While at the Ensemble Theatre she learned movement with Peggy Watson and Ronnie Arnold. In 1962 she went to New York to study drama and worked as artist's model to help pay expenses. She also did dance classes with Alvin Ailey company and realised that dance was in her line. She went to England, studied and taught dance. In returning to Australia she resumed her modelling and began classes with Margaret Barr's Dance Drama Group.
