"Appendix A, Mr. C.E. Oliver, M.C.E."

A manuscript revision of Walter Burley Griffin's final 1918 city plan of Canberra used as a base map with amendments to outline construction of sewerage facilities. The main and branch sewer pipes, effluent, septic tanks, drainage areas, and existing sewers are shown by colour in a legend at the top left corner of the sheet and are seen running through the town centre, now the suburbs of Parkes and Civic. Particular sewerage lines are named. Relief is shown by contours at 5ft. intervals and spot heights.

The base map is Griffin's 1918 final design of Canberra originally published: Melbourne : Melbourne and Metropolitan Board of Works, 1918.

Date of printing on base map: "4.7.18".

Base map issued when under the control of the Dept. of Works and Railways.
